OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 June 2008 was announced, that in Vladivostok  under the  chairmanship  of the Plenipotentiary in the Far East  Oleg SAFONOV  the meeting was held on the matters of gas supply of Primorsky and Khabarovsky,  Sakhalinsky regions and electric power supply of Vladivostok  for  the Summit APEC -2012. The specialists of  Gasprom, Rosneft and RAO UES of Russia  as also representatives  of the regional  authorities of the Far East took part at the meeting.

Participants of the meeting  discussed in detail  the opportunities  and  terms of implementation  of the natural-gas programs  in the Far East,  construction of the gas transmission system “Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok”, as also  the progress of projects implementation directed at Summit APEC facilities  gas-supply, including the matter of transfer of thermal power plants of Primorye  to gas fuel.

In the course of the meeting  the Managing Director of the Business-Unit Energy Systems of Vostok, JSC  RAO UES of Russia  Ivan Blagodir  presented the current situation and prospects  of the energy holding-company  in the field of electric power  industry of the Far Eastern region development.  Ivan Blagodir  in his report paid special attention to  the complex development  of the Primosky region energy system with the account  of  electric power supply of the facilities for Summit APEC-2012 problem solving  , presented detailed plan of development  of generation facilities and the grid complex, including  with the possibility of  transfer of several generation stations  to gas fuel.

In their term the specialists  of Gasprom assured the energy specialists  that by  forth quarter 2011 the necessary volume of gas necessary to meet the demands of  Primorsky energy system  will be transferred to the region. Now  the energy specialists  along with Gasprom  will have  to work out the agreements  regarding  gas supply to the enterprises of Primorsky regions, as also gas fuel cost.

Besides that  the important result  of the meeting  was  compliance of the Plenipotentiary Oleg Safonov  with the necessity of decision making  about  adjustment of the Federal Special target program “Social and economic development  of the Far East and Tran Baikal  for the period till 2013” towards  the increase of federal budget expenditures for  Primorsky energy system preparation for the Summit in connection with the growth  of the planned  arrangements.

"Hosting of the summit APEC in Vladivostok  as an event with the  national importance, proves the necessity of dynamic capacities expanding and  electric and thermal-grid infrastructure  in the South of Primorsky region. Regional investment program  of the Holding Company  JSC  ES of Vostok  that will start its work  from 1 July 2008, is aimed to improve electric power supply reliability for all regional consumers as also to settle in complex all problems of electric power supply of the Summit APEC, said Ivan Blagodir.
