Azamat Erzhanov’s Appointment as CFO of Alliance Bank
OREANDA-NEWS. June 19, 2008. Alliance Bank announced that Azamat Erzhanov was appointed to the position of the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to the appointment Mr. Erzhanov worked in various local and international companies including his position as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC Seimar Alliance Financial Corporation (SAFC).
In his new office Mr. Erzhanov will supervise the following Bank’s operations: financial analysis and planning, controlling and budgeting, treasury operations and liquidity, effective coordination of the work between financial department and other Bank’s divisions engaged in relationships with international investors, rating agencies, external and internal auditors and advisers.
Abylkassym Mamyrbekov, who has been taking the post of Chief Financial Officer-Deputy Chairman of the Board until the present time, will continue his activities at Alliance Bank as the Deputy Chairman of the Board and will supervise the following areas: asset and liability management, accounting, financial reporting, currency operations and payment systems.
A certified public accountant from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a certified auditor of Kazakhstan and a member of the Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 43-year-old Azamat Erzhanov has got longstanding and successful experience at executive positions in the “Big Four” accounting firms, including Deloitte&Touche and Ernst&Young in USA, Central Asia and CIS.
According to Erik Sultankulov, Alliance Bank’s Chairman, the extensive management and professional experience of Mr. Erzhanov will contribute to further strengthening of the Bank’s leading positions in the Kazakhstan financial sector as well as promote further institutional development of the Bank in modern economic conditions.
