OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 June 2008 was announced, that in the first half of 2008, based on the results of the spring exhibition season, Iteca of Kazakhstan has held 17 exhibitions bringing together 2,041 exhibiting companies from 58 countries and 1 conference attended by 183 delegates. The total number of professional visitors amounted to about 58,000. The aggregate exhibition area of all Iteca’s expositions made up 60,300 square metres, an 18% increase as compared to the results of the last year’s spring exhibitions
The launch of new projects and the active regional outreach have become the priority directions in Iteca’s activities for the coming years. This year, the calendar of exhibition events has been augmented to include new projects in Almaty and Aktau.
The first SecurityExpo Exhibition held in March in Almaty demonstrated the multifaceted character of today’s security industry. This first exhibition was attended by 35 exhibiting companies from 12 countries. The conceptual basis for SecurityExpo was provided by the Moscow International Exhibition of Protection, Security and Fire Safety – MIPS, the largest specialised exhibition in CIS and Eastern Europe.
“I can most confidently assert that the concepts of our exhibitions are up-to-date and attractive both for exhibitors and visitors now more than ever. The most characteristic distinction of your exhibitions is the ever growing number of foreign and domestic exhibitors and professional visitors and the high level of organisation,” says Yuri Borodikhin. “Step by step, day by day, year by year, Iteca is developing in a stable and dynamic way.” During the autumn season, which will commence on 3 September with the 15th Jubilee Construction Exhibition KazBuild, Iteca will hold about 20 events.
One of the new projects is the Aktau Tourist Exhibition Aktau Leisure (10-12 September). Together with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, Iteca is thus planning to lure the interested companies into the Western tourist direction and, specifically, the Aktau City Project.
Another exhibition debut will take place in Almaty. This will be the Specialised Exhibition and Conference on Water and Water Technologies WaterTech Central Asia (16-18 September). The event is of special interest due to the fact that the issue of water resources it will dwell upon is relevant not only for Kazakhstan but also for Central Asian countries. The project will be implemented jointly with the Israeli partners, Kenes Exhibitions. The regular meeting of the Interstate Commission for Water Coordination of Central Asia will take place within the framework of the exhibition.
Iteca LLP is the partner of ITE Group Plc, an international exhibition company, in Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries. As of today, Iteca’s offices operate in Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Aktau, Bishkek, and a representative office has been set up in Karaganda. Nine of Iteca’s exhibitions – KIOGE, KazBuild, MiningWorld Central Asia, WorldFood Kazakhstan, AstanaBuild, KITEL, KITF, KIHE, KazBuild Spring – hold the certificates of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI, www.ufinet.org) confirming the high organisational level of events and their international status. It is noteworthy that Iteca’s projects are the only ones in Kazakhstan to have been approved by the UFI.
