On 17 June 2008 was announced, that on its first meeting after election on May 24, 2008, new Transaero Airlines’ Board of Directors has decided to improve corporate governance practices. Two Committees within the Board were formed: HR and Compensation Committee and Audit Committee. This marks another very important step on the company’s way to becoming more transparent.

The elections of Chairman of Board and Transaero Airlines’ General Director were also held. Alexander Pleshakov was re-elected as Chairman of Board and Olga Pleshakova was re-elected as General Director.
