OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2008. The major fire-hazardous objects at NPPM are the old bark-collector and the wood yard (warehouse for pulp wood). Due to dry weather there was tightened control and special measure were taken. Twenty-four-hour duty of fire protection service has been organized. The system of anti-fire water pipe-line is watering the stacks of wood.

“We always take such measures in case of dry weather and fire risk. The above undertakings are not connected with the fire at Sovetsk Pulp-and-Paper Factory”, the Deputy Director for production safety and labor protection of NPPM Nikolay Shulgin said.
