OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2008. JSC Kaluga Turbine Works (KTZ), branch of Power Machines, and JSC Polyus, subsidiary of JSC Polyus Gold, the largest Russian gold producer, signed a contract for supplies of power equipment.

The contract stipulates the supplies of a set of three completes of turbogenerator units П-8-3,4 of 8 MW each of KTZ production and three generators TПС-8, manufactured by JSC Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod. The equipment is planned to be supplied in the 3rd quarter of 2009. The total price of the contract exceeds 300 million Rubles.

The equipment will be manufactured and supplied for the thermal power plant of 24 MW capacity as a part of new ore mining and processing enterprise located in Blagodatnoye deposit, the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The enterprise is planned to be put into operation in 2010.

In 2005 KTZ and Electrosila, Branch of Power Machines, supplied for JSC Polyus three similar units of smaller capacity which now supply thermal and electric power for Olympiadinsk ore mining and processing enterprise in Olympiadinsk deposit, one of the largest Russian gold deposits.
