OREANDA-NEWS. On 16 June 2008 was announced, that Russian Intourist and Syrian Sinara are launching the construction of Jol Jammal four-star hotel complex in Latakia city of Syria.

“The hotel will be erected on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea on the front coastline in 25 km from the international airport. The total area of the site is 60,000 sq m,” a joint press release of the companies said.

According to the draft design by the Turkish architect agency Engiz Mimarlik Muhendislik LTD, the hotel complex will contain a centre building and cottages with the total capacity of about 900 people.

There will be fitness centres and spas, indoor and outdoor swimming pools as well as a recreation complex in the hotel’s structure.

The press release specified that the project would be developed by CJSC Intourist-Sinara established on parity basis of VAO Intourist, head-company of Intourist Group, and CJSC Sinara Group.

“The construction of the hotel complex is to be launched in 2008. Jol Jammal will be able to receive the first guests in 2010,” Andrey Vorobyev, CEO of Intourist-Sinara, said.
