On 16 June 2008 was announced, that there is a number of successful exhibition and business events devoted to forestry, timber industry, biotechnology, timber buildings and furniture industry held in our country today. All these projects are narrow specialized events intended for "b-to-b" audience held at various venues. The consolidation of exhibitions will be an important stage that the exhibition business has been striving to achieve for a long time. The specific nature of the market and existing tendency to the industry branches integration taken into consideration the management of the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre in cooperation with the Confederation of Associations and Unions for Timber, Pulp and Paper, Wood processing and Furniture Industry initiated an exhibition and congress event ExpoForest. The new project has united all segments of the market from a tree planting and up to end product manufacture.

The First International Specialized Exhibition ForrestExpo-2008 will be held November 11 through 15, 2008 at the most modern exhibition and congress venue the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre (Moscow, 65-66 km of the Moscow Motor Ring MKAD). The world top technology on machinery, equipment, materials, and component parts for manufacturing panels, furniture, doors and windows and general wood products, timber products, technologies, equipment and tools for timber, pulp and paper, wood processing and furniture industry will be presented at the trade fair. The complex approach of the organizers is emphasized by co-joint running of one of the largest furniture events in Russia - the exhibition Furniture Club. Thus the specialists and general public will have an opportunity to familiarize both with wood processing technologies and to enjoy the end result - genuine article of furniture art. And everything will be presented on the same fairgrounds!

The Confederation of Associations and Unions for Timber, Pulp and Paper, Wood processing and Furniture Industry will participate actively in the exhibition ExpoForest. And the show also renders support of a governmental authority the Federal Agency of the Forestry Management of the Russian Federation.

The organizers of the exhibition aim to bring together on the same platform all key national and worldwide players in order to carry on a productive dialogue and demonstrate progressive technological solutions, the newest equipment, materials and components in the timber, pulp and paper, wood processing and furniture industry.

The exhibition will be segmented into several sections which in future may be transformed into independent specialized salons. The organizers anticipate the following exhibition sections: forestry, wood processing, timber, panel and plywood manufacture, wood houses building, woodworking, biotechnologies, pulp and paper industry, scientific and research institutions, branch mass media and special literature. Timber houses and joinery will be also presented at the event. Specialists will have an opportunity to familiarize with complex solutions and technologies to provide entities' stable operation and modernization.

The specialized salon Woodworking Art will become the principal attraction of the exposition. Handicrafts and art and crafts articles, folk joinery articles, children' articles will be presented within the salon. It is also planned to arrange a Craftsmen City where one can take a lesson in the nuts and bolts of wood engraving and joinery.

The exhibition ExpoForest will develop to incorporate a topical and rich business program including conferences, seminars and round tables aiming to discuss the most urgent issues of the industry.

Russian and foreign companies manufacturing and supplying raw materials, machinery, equipment, plants and tools, saw-mills, wood processing enterprises, forest breeding entities, associations for wood processing and timber merchants, branch specialized printed and Internet Mass Media, educational and human resources centres are invited to participation.
