OREANDA-NEWS. On 16 June 2008 was announced, that 6 000 people came to celebrate the birthday of CENTRAVIS brand. Nikopol has seen for the first time the event of this magnitude.

Staff of CENTRAVIS company, their family members and friends met at the first birthday celebration of CENTRAVIS. For the first time the stadium “Elektrometallurg” has taken so famous guests, and for the first time such a high-level programme has been presented in the town of Nikopol.

After the opening ceremony the Olympic ballet RED Foxes launched a sports and entertainment show. The ballet is the winner of the competition of European Basketball League as the best support group in 2003, as well as the participant of 3 recent European basketball championships and the basketball tournament during the Olympic Games in Athens.

A new record was set at CENTRAVIS festival. Nikolay Kutsenko — a professional football show-player — beat his own record in heating a ball with the head on speed during one hour. Nicholay had been training and preparing himself for this record for several months.

A group of world-class masters of sports in weightlifting “Cossack fun” surprised with unprecedented force. A five-time record-breaker on non-traditional exercises with weights, a winner of the TV show of strong men, a performer of unique power tricks Victor Bakhmatov demonstrated six tricks. He simultaneously raised 4 weights with the help of his teeth, tore iron chains, unbent horseshoes, tied up nails with his hands, bent shovels and coins.

A pair of acrobats, laureates of a sports show-competition in Monte Carlo 2007, and a juggler, who showed pantomime, juggled with pipes and hold the balance standing at several rows of coils, surprised with their tricks.

The sports and entertaining show was finished by the best in Ukraine and the CIS professional motofreestyler — a multiple-time record-breaker of Guinness Book of Records and Book of Records of Ukraine Yury Mikhalchik. Colleagues on sports nicknamed him Yura the American. Yury performs together with his 11-year old son, Artiom, who is a four-time record-breaker of Book of Records of Ukraine. At 9 years Artiom jumped through three fire rings, and at 7 he made a leap from a spring-board on a motorcycle for 14 metres. In 2005 Yury set a unique record — a leap over 11 cars, and also jumped on a motorcycle over the van. The length of a jump was 44 metres, the height was 10 metres.

The sports part of the event was followed by the musical one. Nikolay Rastorguyev and a legendary group “LIUBE” performed songs that the entire stadium sang. Festive fireworks marked the end of the holiday.
