OREANDA-NEWS. From 3 to 6 June the largest event for the petroleum industry in the Caspian region, the Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference took place in Baku.

This year, the event celebrates its 15th Anniversary. Every year, the exhibition gathers the leading oil and gas professionals in one venue, drawing the attention of the world to Azerbaijan. Caspian Oil & Gas 2008 will feature approximately 400 exhibitors from over 30 countries. The event is attended by many of the largest companies operating in the energy sector, including RWE AG, Shell, Statoil Hydro, IBAR, Cooper Cameron Petroleum, Total, BP, Salans, OMV and Nobel Oil. The contribution made by a number of agencies and large companies to Caspian Oil & Gas also adds considerably to the development of the exhibition. Alongside commercial companies, national group stands from Great Britain, Germany, China and Russia will be presented, as well as individual stands from the Japanese Oil Gas and Metal Corporation (JOGMEC), the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC), “Turk Petrolleri” JSC (TPAO) and Azerbaijan state organizations.Officials and representatives of the Ministries of Energy, Industry, Ecology and Natural Resources are expected to attend the official opening ceremony, representing over 30 countries.
