OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 June 2008 was announced, that at a training polygon in 500kV “Almaty” SS (“Uzyn-Agash” station, Almaty oblast) “Kazakhstan Electricicty Grid Operating Company “KEGOC”” JSC organized a competition among the electricians teams on PTL maintenance. The participants of competition are 8 teams representing the branches of the intersystem power networks (MES). To observe a process of competition there have arrived the representatives of power companies from Kyrgyzstan, Tadjikistan, Ukraine, Russia and Armenia.

the new devices and facilities and to improve a safety level during the accident recovery works. The competitions on this specialty have been carried out in 2003 and 2005, and consist from the following stages:

1. Checking of the teams’ equipping, documentation, instruments, facilities, protective means and the innovations applied.

2. Examination of working rules and instructions on PC.

3. Replacement of the defective insulators No.16 and No.17 in suspension string of a reinforced concrete pole 220kV OHTL ПБ 220-1 type using a tightening device and a ladder.

4. Replacement of the defective insulators No.12 and No.13 in a tension string of a metal pole 220kV OHTL У 220-3+5 type using a tightening device and a trap.

5. Replacement of a defective cable spacer in a bay of the supports 500kV OHTL (second from a support) by means of a suspended trolley not using a lift truck.

6. Rendering of predoctore care to the electric shock victim on a training simulator "ВИТИМ" type.

In total team classification, I place and a title “Best team on PTL maintenance” have been awarded to the electricians team of “Sarbaiskie MES” (524.8 points).

A team of “Akmolinskie MES” (519.3 points) has taken II place, and III place has been awarded to the team of “Almatinskie MES” branch (507.5 points). The winners teams have been awarded by the diploma and the valuable presents. For a proffessionalism and good results, а judicial commission also made a decision to give a title “Best master” to Alexander V. Borovik from “Aktubinskie MES” branch and a title “Best electricican” to Erdos M. Ekibasov from “Vostochnye MES” branch.

Besides the winner has a right to present a national team in September current year on an international championship of Commonwealth of Independednt States between the specialists servicing 110kV OHTL and above, in Vinnitsa (Ukraine).

Professional competitions among the workers of branch are carried out under patronage of Executive Committee of CIS Electric Power Council. By results of the competitions in 2006 which carried out in Zheleznovodsk (Russia), the team of “Tsentralnye MES” branch has taken a second place.
