OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 June 2008 was announced, that during the celebrations for the 63rd anniversary of Victory Day Rossiya provided free flights to war veterans and invalids, residents of Leningrad during the blockade, and under-age prisoners of concentration camps. For many years Rossiya has paid tribute to the courage of the victors by running charitable promotions for veterans. This year the flights covered by the programme were available from 5 to 31 May, and tickets could be purchased from the end of April. In the first 15 days alone veterans were issued with over 3 000 tickets on Rossiya airline’s domestic and international services.
