OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2008. American Machinery Company (AMACO) plans to develop manufacturing of agricultural machinery in Ukraine, AMACO president Pekk Holkeri said.

"There is a great demand for agricultural machinery in Ukraine. Next season we shall increase supplies and develop new directions of cooperation. We mean production in Ukraine as we are only suppliers at present. This will allow for creating new jobs and new possibilities for Ukrainian consumers," Holkeri noted.

According to US Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez, who was on a visit to Ukraine, Americans are ready to invest in Ukraine, as they "believe in its economic potential development".

According to the agricultural ministry, annual lack of machinery can be significantly noticeable this year because of big crops forecasts.
