OREANDA-NEWS. On June 07, 2008 Sberbank’s Chairman of the Board and CEO Herman Gref and Deutsche Bank’s Vice Chairman Caio Koch-Weser signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen bilateral co-operation and widen the range of banking services offered to the Russian customers in the corporate and retail sector, reported the press-centre of Sberbank.

The signing ceremony was part of the XII St Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The Memorandum contemplates further co-operation in offering efficient financial instruments to the customers and joint efforts on global capital markets in project financing, structured products, corporate, trade and export financing, and in the retail sector. Sberbank and Deutsche Bank will be working closely together to finance projects for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

The Memorandum opens additional opportunities for Sberbank’s corporate and retail customers to use first-class innovative banking services offered all over the world.
