Kostromovskaya Mine Assembled Joy Complex
OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2008. Underground assembly of the coal excavation face complex was performed at the Kostromovskaya mine (under construction), which is incorporated in Belon Group.
The equipment was produced by Joy Mining Machinery, UK. Its cost is about EUR 21 mln. The complex incorporates a cutter-loader, a face conveyor, a mechanized lining, surface equipment (a loader and a crushing machine), a set of electric equipment, and a hydraulics system. To optimize the delivery and assembly of the complex, the branch line of the monorail road connecting the storage facility with the equipment assembly site was launched.
The nearest plans of the Company include completing the extension of a belt conveyor, and installing a loader along the belt heading of the first face of the mine under construction (No. 1901). In addition, the specialists of the enterprise will replace the slab belting that has been used in the course of drifting operations with the one designed for the transportation of the coal produced. It is expected that by mid-June this year, all the works on the precommissioning of the face will be completed, followed by the equipment testing.
The first coal is expected to be produced at the Kostromovskaya mine in July 2008. The performance target set for the enterprise’s team is to produce at least 600,000 tons of coal by the end of the current year.
