OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 June 2008 was announced, that Alexei Sinitsyn Appointed Executive Director of MTV Russia.

“MTV is a very interesting project for me, which is why I accepted the offer to manage the channel,” said MTV’s new managing director.

“Today MTV is the best opportunity for young, ambitious professionals to realize their potential,” added MTV Russia’s general director Alexei Efimov.

Alexei Sinitsyn had previously held the post of deputy general director of the 2x2 channel. In April 2007 he oversaw the launch of Russia’s first cartoon channel, whose success exceeded all expectations.

Alexei Viktorovich Sinitsyn was born on January 17, 1973 in Moscow. He graduated from the economics department of the Moscow Institute of State Administration in 1998, and in 2000 was awarded a diploma in psychology from the Institute for Continuing Study for Educators.

He has worked in the media since 1995. He began his career at TV-6 Moskva, and worked on the Vprok programme on NTV. From 2005-2006 he held the post of deputy programme director at TNT. From 2006-2008 he was Deputy General Director at 2x2.
