OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 June 2008 was announced, that OJSC TGC-9 is implementing the large scale repair program focused on preparation of equipment of power stations and heating networks for the winter period 2008-2009, at all its manufacturing branches. In 2007 TGC-9 repair plans were fulfilled 100%, what allowed the Company to provide the reliable and continuous power supply within the autumn-winter period. In 2008 TGC-9 will assign 2,5 billion rubles for overhauls and middle-life repairs of 52 power units and all necessary maintenance works regarding the preparation of the heating networks.

There was initiated the trial operation of plate water-water heater at Sverdlovsk HPP (Yekaterinburg Branch, TGC-9). The circulation was stopped when the autumn-winter period was over. Makeup water is used for the hot water supply within the summer period. Its initial temperature exceeds 80 degrees what is unsafe for consumers. Plate heaters are designed for optimization of the water temperature mode coming in to our “taps”.

The first such unit was installed on the hot water supply line in Gradmash area. By now the installation of the additional heat-exchanger has been completed, supplying hot water to Sortirovka area and the center of the city. Its capacity is 400 tons/hour. The typical heating schemes were improved by the specialists of the boiler-turbine shop of the power station.
