OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 June 2008 was announced, that according to month results in April, 2008 the passenger traffic of  Pulkovo  had a total enrolment of 515 574 people, which is 25,0% more than it was in April, 2007, including:

Domestic airlines passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 268 943 people, which is 30,7% more than in April, 2007.

International airlines passenger traffic to the foreign countries in April, 2008 had a total enrolment of 209 306 people, which is 15,6% more than the number of passengers, carried in April, 2007.

Passenger traffic to the countries of C.I.S. increased by 45,8 % and had a total enrolment of 37 325 people.

The greatest increase of passenger traffic as compared with April, 2007 observed on:

Domestic Airlines: Volgograd (+453,8%), Kazan (+264,6%), Syktyvkar (+105,7%), Arkhangelsk (+88,4%), Voronezh (+75,7%). As compared with April, 2007 scheduled flights to Volgograd and Perm were opened.

International Airlines: Pekin (+143,1%), Dubai (+132,6%), Rome (+115,8%), Dьsseldorf (+78,5%), Sharm-al-Sheih (+58,9%). As compared with April, 2007 scheduled flights to Madrid, Zurich, Dgerba, Karlovy Vary, Barcelona were opened.

C.I.S.: Dushanbe (+209,3%), Namangan (+92,3%), Tashkent (+37,3%), Samarkand (+37,3%), Yerevan (+15,9%). In April, 2008 as compared with the similar period of the last year there were opened scheduled flights to Kishinev, Khudjand, Osh, Gyandju, Tbilisi, Urgench.

The number of takeoff and landing operations increased by 24,6% in April, 2008 and had a total enrolment of 7 512 takeoffs and landings. The volume of handled gross take-off weight (GTOW) is 264 thousand tons, the increase is 22,8% as compared with April, 2007.

The four months results of 2008

According to four months results passenger traffic of  Pulkovo airport had a total enrolment of 1 778 836 people, which is 29,5% more than the activities of the four months of 2007, including:

Domestic airlines passenger traffic had a total enrolment of 931 858 people, which is 35,9% more than during the four months in 2007.

International airlines passenger traffic to the foreign countries for the four months in 2008 had a total enrolment of 714 698 people, which is 15,2% more than the number of passengers, carried during the four months in 2007.

Passenger traffic to the countries of C.I.S. increased by 95,8 % and had a total enrolment of 132 280 people.

The number of takeoff and landing operations increased by 24,2% during the four months in 2008 and had a total enrolment of 27 091 takeoffs and landings. The volume of handled gross take-off weight (GTOW) is 933 thousand tons, the increase is 24,2% as compared with the four months in 2007.
