OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 June 2008 was announced, that according the operational activity data for May 2008, Moscow International Airport Domodedovo keeps the leading position in Moscow aviation hub in terms of passenger traffic.

Between January and May 2008 Domodedovo welcomed 7,529,956 passengers, that is a 24,4% rise over the same period of 2007. The passenger traffic for May 2008 was 1,853,280 people, that is a 26,5% rise over May, 2007.

The primary growth was registered on flights to Saint-Petersburg, Bangkok, Frankfurt, Vienna, Novosibirsk, Kaliningrad, Munich, Krasnodar, Sharm El Sheikh, Dushanbe. Total 1,550,616 passengers were carried on these routes in May, 2008.
