International Tax Review magazine presented its annual European Tax Awards in London, celebrating the most innovative tax transactional, structuring, litigation and transfer-pricing work done in Europe between February 2007 and February 2008. For the third consecutive year, PricewaterhouseCoopers Russia (PwC) was recognised as the National Tax Firm of the Year, reported the press-centre of PwC.

PwC continues to be the most successful practice in Europe, winning national tax awards in four other countries: Cyprus, Germany, Malta, and Switzerland. In addition, PwC transfer pricing groups in Italy, Malta, Norway, Portugal, the UK and Ukraine were recognised as National Transfer Pricing Firms of the Year. In total PwC won 12 awards, which is more than any other firm in Europe.

To decide the winners, International Tax Review’s editorial staff undertake detailed research from a variety of sources: the results of European market research for the directory World Tax 2008, submissions from firms, and consultations with a large number of tax advisers, tax executives and in-house counsel.
