OREANDA-NEWS. On 07 June 2008 was announced, that Almetyevsk Pipe Plant (APP, Republic of Tatarstan), part of United Metallurgical Company (OMK), has reported its operating results for May 2008 and year to date (January-May 2008).

During the reporting period, APP manufactured 12,629 tonnes of pipes of various grades, which surpassed the planned targets by 5.2%.

From January to May 2008, APP's output reached 62,849 tonnes, thus exceeding the planned figure by 13.2%. As compared with the 2007 figure (52,083 tonnes), output rose by 20.7%. The Company produced 12,292 tonnes of externally polyethylene coated pipes.

In the reporting month, APP shipped 17,130 tonnes, which is a 31.3% increase over the equivalent period last year. Almetyevsk Pipe Plant’s year-to-date shipment totals are 77,824 tonnes, or 9% more than the planned target. As compared with the corresponding period in 2007 (62,006 tonnes), its shipment figures went up by 25.5%.
