OREANDA-NEWS. On 07 June 2008 was announced, that according the forecasts, Domodedovo’s passenger traffic growth will make more than 17 million passengers between June and August, 2008. That is a 15% rise over the same period of last year.

Domodedovo intends to serve more than 3 million passengers on domestic flights and more than 4 million passengers on international flights.

The growth as compared to 2007 will compose 23% and 10% correspondingly.

Domodedovo’ airlines-partners will perform the traditional summer flights to popular beach and tourist resorts in Turkey, Spain, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Montenegro and others. The flights will be also operated to the places, used to meant “winter” resorts – Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, UAE, Dominican Republic, Tunisia. For now China and Israel resorts gain the growing popularity.

According the preliminary forecasts, Greek islands, Spain, Italy and Cyprus will be in great demand among tourists. Also as summer approaches, the number of domestic flights will be increased to such cities as Yekaterinburg, Mineralnye Vody, Irkutsk, Omsk, Anapa and Sochi.
