OREANDA-NEWS. June 05, 2008. In January-May 2008, Ukrainian coal enterprises produced coal by 3,7% (1,175 million tons) up year-on-year, to 33,34 million tons, the press service of the Coal Industry Ministry reported.

Coking coal production grew by 1,5% (182,305 tons), to 11,954 million tons, whereas steam coal output rose by 6,8% (1,358 million tons), to 21,386 million tons.
