OREANDA-NEWS. On June 02-06, 2008 the visit to Chisinau of the delegation of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) headed by the Head of the FAS Russia Mr. Igor Aretemiev took place, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

In the frameworks of the given visit the representatives of the FAS Russia participated in the XXVII Session of the Interstate Council on Antimonopoly Policy (ICAP) as well as in the number of international events including the 6th meeting of the Headquarters of Joint Investigations of the Violations of Antimonopoly Legislation in CIS Member-States (Headquarters) and the International Conference "Competition Environment under Globalization Conditions" organized by the National Agency for Protection of Competition of the Republic of Moldova.

Number of issues of great interest for all the CIS Members-States were be considered during these events. In particular, the state of competition in grain markets of the Commonwealth as well as the results of the cement market monitoring were discussed.

The special attention was paid to the issues of the research of the state of competition in the telecommunication market and the markets of passengers' air transportation in the CIS Member-States.

One year has passed since the beginning of the research and first results have appeared. They are reflected in the Report on air transportation market analysis in the CIS Member-States that is prepared by the Headquarters' experts. The Report was discussed by the members of the ICAP.

At the International Conference Mr. Igor Artemiev made a presentation on "Russian Competition Policy in the Era of Globalization" where the major recent results of the FAS Russia' activity and priority directions of the activity for the short-term period under the conditions of globalization of economic relations in the whole world will be covered.
