OREANDA-NEWS. June 6, 2008. St. Petersburg today hosted celebrations dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the graduation of the first group trained as part of the MBA Gazprom educational program – a joint project between Gazprom and the International Management Institute of St. Petersburg (IMISP).

The anniversary celebrations included the Scientific and Practical Conference “Gazprom – New Directions of Organizational Development”. Opening the Conference with a speech of welcome was Sergey Khomyakov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee.

He pointed out that the MBA Gazprom program was an example of the successful multiyear cooperation between Gazprom and IMISP. “The program has ideally fit into the common strategy of Gazprom’s top management & staff development and evolved into a real tool for training efficient managers of the modern economy. The program’s success has been largely determined by its constant development and improvement with account of Gazprom’s needs,” underscored Sergey Khomyakov.

At the end of his speech the Deputy Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee congratulated all the attendees with the anniversary of the program. “I am convinced that in the years to come the Institute will remain one of the basic training grounds for Gazprom’s senior managers,” he said.

The celebrations also included the presentation of graduation projects and a solemn graduation ceremony for the fifth group of students. Among the graduates are Deputy Chairmen of the Management Committee, Members of the Management Committee, Heads of the Departments of Gazprom as well as heads from the top managers reserve. Program diplomas were handed out by the IMISP Rector Sergey Mordovin.
