Uralkali Appointed New President
OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 June 2008 was announced, that the Board of Directors of JSC “Uralkali” (Uralkali) approved changes to the Company’s management structure at a meeting on 4 June 2008. The changes, which are aimed at increasing organisational efficiency, will separate the posts of President and Director General (CEO) at Uralkali, effective from 4 June. Vladislav Baumgertner will remain Director General (CEO) of Uralkali and will be responsible for business operational management, investor relations, development and modernizations of production, rise in profitability and development of new capacities including the construction of a new mine at Ust-Yaiva.
Anatoly Lebedev, previously Vice-President for Legal Matters, was appointed President of Uralkali. Anatoly Lebedev will remain Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors. In his new position Anatoly Lebedev will supervise government relations, relations with regulators and natural monopolies, legal matters, public relations and economic security of the Company.
Anatoly Lebedev - Biography
Mr. Lebedev was born in 1974. After graduating from Moscow Lomonosov State University in 1996 with a degree in law Mr. Lebedev worked in JSC “Interros”. In 2000 and 2001, Mr. Lebedev served as the Head of the Legal Department and as a member of the Management Board of OJSC “Perm Motor Plant”. In 2001, he also served on the Boards of Directors of various companies affiliated with “Perm Motors Company”. In 2002-2004 he occupied the position of the Counsel of the CEO for Legal Matters of Uralkali. In 2004 Mr. Lebedev was appointed the Vice-President for Legal Matters of Uralkali. Since 2005 he has been the member of the Supervisory Board of BPC. In 2006 Mr. Lebedev was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uralkali.
