OREANDA-NEWS. June 03, 2008. Domestic natural gas output went up by 1,4% y/y to 234,3bn m 3 in the first four months of 2008, the EconMin reported.

Out of that, Russia 's gas monopoly Gazprom produced 199,1bn m 3, which is a 1,7% y/y increase.

In April alone, natural gas output rose by 1,3% y/y to 56,9bn m 3 (out of which 84,4% was produced by Gazprom).

In Jan-Apr domestic gas consumption stayed flat y/y at 165,2bn m3 .

Gas exports to non-CIS and CIS countries increased by 35% y/y and fell by 11,9% y/y to 62,3bn m3 and 14,4bn m3 , respectively.

As reported earlier, according to the data by the Industry and Energy Ministry, domestic natural gas output went up by 2,7% y/y to 238,026bn m 3 in Jan – Apr 2008.
