OREANDA-NEWS. June 05, 2008. In St. Petersburg, a press conference was held to discuss the results of the annual strategic dialogue dedicated to the results and prospects of ROSNO’s development in the North-Western region, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

Among the event’s participants were CEO of ROSNO and head of Allianz Eurasia Mr. Hannes Chopra and director of ROSNO’s North-Western Directorate Mr. Alexei Rozhnev.

In his speech, Mr. Hannes Chopra noted that ROSNO’s strategic regional objectives remain the same: attainment of leadership and improvement of customer service quality. "ROSNO’s strategy in the North Western region represents a part of the company’s uniform regional policy focused on attaining leading positions in the target insurance market segments. I highly appreciate the performance results achieved by the North-Western Directorate, and hope that with arrival of Mr. Alexei Rozhnev, one of the most successful top managers of ROSNO, to the position of the Director of the North-Western Directorate, we will continue successful business development in this region", said Mr. Hannes Chopra.

Mr. Alexei Rozhnev summed up the results of the last year and presented his vision for business development in the North-Western region in 2008 to 2010.

In 2007, the aggregate insurance premium collected by the North-Western Directorate exceeded 1.7 bn roubles, thus overriding the same-period-last-year indicator by over 300 mln roubles.

According to Mr. Alexei Rozhnev, among the Directorate’s main achievements in 2007 were victories in major tenders, including property insurance, liability insurance, D&О, and preservation of the VMI market leadership. VMI sales were increased through use of the specially created unit — Corporate Clients Medical Insurance Centre. The aggregate share of the Allianz companies (ROSNO, Medexpress, and Progress-Garant) in the North-Western region’s voluntary medical insurance market is around 18%.

Mr. Alexei Rozhnev especially emphasized the results of the company’s restructuring: "We expect that these changes will result in forming in the North-Western region of a more efficient structure preventing double work and primarily oriented towards creating comfortable customer service conditions. This objective is relevant to each of our branches", said Mr. Alexei Rozhnev.

In 2008-2010, the Directorate plans to implement the project contemplating creation of a separately located motor insurance loss settlement centre, which would conform to the international customer service standards applicable to the motor insurance; increase the company’s presence in top-priority market segments; develop online sales; improve customer service quality, including bringing more comfort to the sales offices’ client areas. Furthermore, ROSNO plans to establish clinics in St. Petersburg and offer clients new VMI products. The overall volume of business operations conducted in the North-Western region is planned to increase 2.5 times in the next three years.
