OREANDA-NEWS. On 04 June 2008 was announced, that commencement meeting of VII youth Delphic Games of Russia that gathered more than 2000 young talents in culture and arts from 74 regions of the country took place on May 17, 2008 in Novosibirsk. The said games devoted to Family Year and held under the motto: “Family is foundation for our future”. In addition this event is carried out under support of International Delphic Committee, UNISEF and the Council of Europe.

At the solemn party on the occasion of the opening of VII Delphic Games of Russia among those present were: Mr. Victor Tolokonsky, Governor of Novosibirsk region, Mr. Andrey Filichev, Deputy Governor, Mr. Vladimir Ponyavin, Director of International Delphic Committee. Mr. Alexander Isaev, General Director of “Sibirtelecom” OJSC, as a representative of the first-rate company of Siberia and chief sponsor of Delphic Games also took part in the event.

“Sibirtelecom” pursues social-oriented policy, targeted towards support and development of culture and art in Siberian region, by partaking in significant programs and projects. Delphic Games of Russia are closely connected with realization of “Education” national project, the one in which the company took part in 2006 and 2007, by providing all schools of Siberia with high-speed access to Internet (7444 schools).
