OREANDA-NEWS. On 04 June 2008 was announced, that Serhiy Abalakin, which used to hold a post of the Head of the Motor Transport Insurance Department of ROSNO OJSC (Мoscow), is appointed Allianz Insurance Company operating officer. His official duties shall be control of all the Company’s operating processes, including regulation of losses, processing of insurance documents, and IT support of the Company.

Serhiy Abalakin was born in 1972 in Norilsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Russia. In 1995, he went into his first higher education having graduated from Donbass Mining and Smelting Institute in Аlchevsk (specialized in Automatization of industrial processes). In 1996, he obtained economist’s diploma of the International Marketing and Management Academy in Moscow. In 2000, he graduated from Моscow Financial Academy at Russian Federation government (specialization “Finance and credit”, field “Insurance”).

Mr. Abalakin’s insurance career began at InterRos-Soglasiye Ins.Co. (Моscow), where from 1996 until 2001, he was engaged in development of projects on funded life insurance, held negotiations and made agreements, as well as developed the Company’s regional network. In November 2001, Serhiy took the post of senior specialist of Motor Transport Insurance Department of Soglasiye Ins.Co. (Moscow), where he worked until May 2003 ending his career in this company at the post of advisor of compulsory civil liability insurance directory. From May 2003 until May 2008, Mr. Abalakin worked at ROSNO Head office in Moscow and raised from MTPL Department specialist to Director of Motor Transport Insurance Department of Moscow Regional Directorate. Mr. Abalakin’s official duties were administration and development of the MTPL direction, as well as regulation of losses on MTPL and MOTOR HULL.
