OREANDA-NEWS. On May 28, 2008 Russian Agricultural Bank signed Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation concerning the Implementation of the Federal Program on Agribusiness Development 2008-2012, reported the press-centre of Russian Agricultural Bank.

According to the Agreement RAB will subscribe loans to a wide range of agricultural producers, including farmers, personal household plot owners and credit consumer cooperatives. RAB will also introduce special lending programs for the development of engineering infrastructure in the rural areas.

The Agreement envisages consulting, organizational and information support of the measures, stipulated by the Federal Program on Agribusiness Development 2008-2012.

In the framework of the Federal Program the Bank will extend loans to increase the crop-bearing capacity of soils, enhanced training and further training of specialists in agribusiness, the development of non-agricultural productive activities in the rural areas.
