OREANDA-NEWS. June 3, 2008. Led by Alexey Miller, the Gazprom Management Committee Chairman, a Gazprom’s delegation today paid a visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan. The delegation also included Valery Golubev, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Valery Gulev, Director General of Zarubezhneftegaz. Within the visit Alexey Miller met with Rustam Azimov, First Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ergash Shaismaitov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The parties addressed the progress in implementing the Agreement on the major principles of geological survey for the Ustyurt region investment blocks of the Republic of Uzbekistan between Gazprom and NHC Uzbekneftegaz as well as the status of the Shakhpakhty field.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the prospects for the further bilateral cooperation deepening in the oil and gas sector.
