OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 June 2008 was announced, that Tolmachevo Airport’s General Director – Mr. Alexei Chertenkov was elected as a President of Airport of Civil Aviation Association in Moscow.

The President of the Association is elected by general meeting from the list of its acting members. The candidature of Mr. Alexei Chertenkov was recommended for approval by the administration of Airport of Civil Aviation Association.

– I express my gratitude to my colleagues for their confidence, - noted Mr. Chertenkov. As a President of Airport of Civil Aviation Association, I will pay particular attention to the protection of its interests in key and most important problems of Civil Aviation – situation with airport network in Russia, development of country’s aviation transport complex. Russian Civil Aviation Authorities perfectly understand the importance of revival measures for the country’s aviation industry and we will strive for making appropriate decisions in this sphere from the government bodies.

Airport of Civil Aviation Association was established on December 18, 1990. This Association is a non-state, noncommercial organization. It was formed for the purpose to coordinate activity of its members, broad their business opportunities and defense their interests. The Association provides services related with analysis, exploration and reduction to practice of airports the world aviation industry experience.

The members of the Association are 231 representatives from 22 countries.
