Ukraine, Germany Jointly Develop Space Platform Technologies
OREANDA-NEWS. On May 31, 2008 The National Space Agency of Ukraine and the DLR German space agency have signed a framework agreement on cooperation in outer space exploration, NSAU press service reported.
The document covers such areas of work as study of solar system, change of climate and environment, creation and management of orbital and suborbital platforms and outer space devices for monitoring the Earth surface.
The parties also reached agreement on exchange of space data, cooperation in the development of technologies for space platforms, use of space infrastructure and working capacities.
Ukraine's outer space industry incorporates seven design bureaus, scientific research and design institutes, 12 industrial enterprises, and 13 specialized companies and organizations.
Ukraine is one of the world's leaders by the number of homemade carrier rocket launches.
