OREANDA-NEWS. On June 2, 2008 Azerbaijan-Belarus business forum in Minsk has been organized by AZPROMO and the Chamber of Trade and Industry of Belarus.

The delegation of Azerbaijan included representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, Azerbaijan Investment Company, AZPROMO and around 10 businessmen.

In his speech President of the Chamber of Trade and Industry of Belarus Mr. Vasiliy Romanov gave important figures of the economy of Belarus. Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Belarus Mr. Ali Nagiyev mentioned the importance of such events in the development of Azerbaijan-Belarus economic relations. President of AZPROMO Mr. Emil Majidov and Deputy Director of the Department of the Entrepreneurship Development of the Ministry of Economic Development Mr. Huseyn Pashayev informed participant of the event about the Entrepreneurship Development program and business climate in Azerbaijan, respectively.

As a result of the event AZPROMO signed 2 Memorandums of Understanding – with Chamber of Trade and Industry of Belarus and National Center of Marketing and Currency Market of Belarus. The Memorandums are based on the mandatory information exchange between sides.

After the official part of the event bilateral meetings between representatives of both countries took place.
