OREANDA-NEWS. June 2, 2008. Transsib Re Senior underwriter of International bureau Tim Ockwell took part in the Conference FIAR 2008 (International Insurance and Reinsurance Forum) which took place on May 19-23 in Romania (Sinaia). The Conference was dedicated to the main trends of insurance and reinsurance market in Central and Eastern Europe and also to the features of reinsurance in Western Europe.

The biggest reinsurers from Western European, primary insurers and brokerage companies from the Central and Eastern Europe, the Russian Federation and CIS attended the Conference.

FIAR stands as the most important regional event with international attendance dedicated to the insurance market which traditionally, since 1998, takes place every year in Sinaia, during the last full week in May. This year the Conference was visited by companies, associations and institutions, from more than 30 countries of Europe, USA and Asia. Transsib Re representatives took part in the event for the third time. Transsib Re works with Romanian insurers and brokers since 2003.
