OREANDA-NEWS. On 02 June 2008 was announced, that the meeting with top managers of the Xinhua News Agency (China) was held May 27, 2008 at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre.

From the Russian party Irina Krivtsova, the Deputy Director for Development Crocus Expo IEC, experts on advertising and PR Crocus Expo IEC, management of the International Advertising & Promotion Technologies Festival ProMediaTech, initiated and organized by Crocus Expo IEC, Irina Iskakova, the Head of the China Department of the Russian International Information Agency RIA Novosti (RIA News), and Nikolay Bykovsky, the General Director of the advertising agency Trade Mate, participated in the meeting. From the guests party Du Wenfang, the Head of the Hebei branch of the Xinhua News Agency, Ren Weidong, the Deputy Head of the Beijing branch of the Xinhua News Agency, Yi Ling, the Reporter of the foreign department of the Beijing branch of the Xinhua News Agency, and Huang Yinan, the expert for the China version of the website RIA Novosti, participated in the meeting.

The delegation from China made a sightseeing tour in the largest in Russia exhibition and congress complex and highly estimated the fairgrounds' scope and facilities.

The issues related to general tendencies of the Russian and China cooperation in the field of commerce and exhibition business including narrow issues related to prospects of cooperation were discussed during the negotiations. In particular to leading in China Xinhua News Agency was proposed to support and take an active part in the new Crocus Expo IEC launch - the International Advertising & Promotion Technologies Festival ProMediaTech. The festival has been scheduled for March 2009.

The participants of the meeting have unanimously come to conclusion that Russia and China, dynamically developing world powers, have much more "common ground" than it can seem.
