OREANDA-NEWS. On May 29 Bilibino Nuclear Power Plant conducted scheduled emergency and fire response exercise.

The head of the Civil Defense and Emergency Response Department of Bilibino NPP Vladimir Maslennikov formulated the four tasks of the exercise: to check up the plant’s emergency preparedness, to see if the plant’s radiation control systems work well, to work out and coordinate recommendations on how to eliminate the consequences of the staged emergency and to work out recommendations on how to protect the personnel and the population.
  
All the trainees performed excellently. The personnel effectively interacted with the rescuers and firemen due to highly efficient means of communication.
