The leading communication operator Kazakhtelecom JSC from June 1, 2008, increases by 2 times the Internet access speed on Megaline tariff plan. It was announced today on the 15th International Exhibition on Telecommunications and Computer Technologies KITEL-2008 in Almaty by Chief Commercial Director of Kazakhtelecom JSC Askar Eserkegenov.

I particular, A. Eserkegenov emphasized that Kazakhtelecom JSC is continuing active and targeted work on improvement of access of services of the wide band Internet for the population". For this purpose from June 1, 2008, will be implemented the number of significant changes on the Megaline service tariff plans.

On tariff plans Megaline Start, Megaline Hit, Megaline Light the bandwidth will be increased up to 256 Kbit/s.

For users of the tariff plan Megaline Turbo the incoming speed will increase  from 512 to 1024 Kbit/s. The prepaid traffic on this tariff plan will increase up to 2 GB.

Users of the tariff plan Megaline Start with the prepaid traffic of 0,4 GB will be proposed 0,8 GB without the user charge increase.

In order to stimulate development of the Kazakhstan Internet content, Kazakhtelecom JSC is also increasing the speed of access to/with internal resources of the company (IP-addresses, registered by Kazakhtelecom JSC in RIPE) for tariff plans Megaline Start, Megaline Hit, Megaline Light, Megaline  Box on inbound and outbound channel up to 512 Kbit/s / 512 Kbit/s. At this  for all subscriber of Megaline service, tariffication of inbound/outbound  traffic will be done at zero rate.

According to A. Eserkegenov, being undertaken by the national communication operator complex of measures on ensuring the price accessibility and attractiveness of the wide banded Internet will facilitate the decrease of information inequality among the population.
