OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 May 2008 was announced, that investment projects which were started by JSC Irkutskenergo will be carried out after change of the management, ex-General Director of the company Sergey Emdin said.

Representing Andrey Konovalov, the new head of the company, Sergey Emdin said that the personnel rearrangements in the company 'once again passed as it was planned, the succession was preserved'. Prior to his new appointment, Konovalov held a position of First Deputy General Director - Director for Finance And Economy of JSC Irkutskenergo. Sergey Emdin characterized Andrey Konovalov as a well-known person in the power sector and a person familiar with issues of the Irkutsk power. Before his work for the Irkutsk Company, he was First Deputy Director of Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station. 'The strategy of the company will be realized, therefore we may assure inhabitants of the region and our partners that nobody will suffer', Sergey Emdin promised. Andrey Konovalov also confirmed intention to preserve succession in the industrial and administrative activity.

Emdin received a position of General Director of EvroSibEnergo. 'In my new occupation, I shall take an active part in Irkutskenergo activity. Most likely, it will occur on the level of the Board of Directors, said Emdin. It is very important for us that Vostsibugol Company was incorporated with EvroSibEnergo. Within the rapid development of Irkutskenergo, when loadings at thermal stations grow, it is very important to have close relations with coal miners. And today we have every opportunity to build these relations'.
