OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 May 2008 was announced, that Irkutskenergo Company in June plans to present an electric power tariffs proposal for 2009 to the Regional Tariffs Service. This was reported by General Director of EvroSibEnergo - ex-General Director of Irkutskenergo Sergey Emdin at a briefing on Friday. He declared that 'everything will develop as planned, no sharp changes are expected.' Tariffs are planned to be adjusted according to the inflation index.

Next year the company plans to implement double-rate tariffs for thermal and electric energy. S. Emdin noted that in 2008 cross subsidizing will de reduced between groups of consumers; therefore, tariffs for some groups of consumers can exceed the rates of inflation.
