OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2008. Maintenance of the silo tower №12 of closed coal storage started in the coal preparing production unit of Cox, JSC. Silo tower maintenance is scheduled. In relation with long working lifespan, the thinning of the metal occurred and sheets were torn away. They blocked the neck of the silo tower and made obstacles for coal overtail. As a result of timely maintenance, the volume of unmarketable coal will be significantly reduced. Currently clearance of the silo tower from coal remains is made by the forces of the production unit personnel. The maintenance will be made by specialists of SCRKO №2 and developer company Spetsjelezobetonstroy from Novokusnetsk. During the work performance it is supposed to change fettling and to maintain the conic and cylindrical units of the silo tower. Along with it, analogue work is made in the silo tower №2. This maintenance has already been performed in the silo tower №3. The results are obvious: the quantity of working mass reduced from 400 to 500 to tones.
