OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2008. The representative office of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) to Belarus and the Interior Ministry of Belarus will hold a seminar “Cooperation between governmental, international and public organizations in prevention of human trafficking” on May 28-29.

The seminar is organized within the framework of the project on international technical aid “Prevention of human trafficking: Republic of Belarus” which is implemented jointly with the Interior Ministry of Belarus. The seminar aims to enhance the qualifications of law-enforcement officers, to strengthen the cooperation with public and international organizations and also with the law-enforcement agencies of the neighbouring countries in prevention of human trafficking.

Attending the event will be law-enforcement officers of the Gomel oblast, representatives of courts, procuracy bodies, the State Security Committee, border services and public organizations.
