ESPO Creates Jobs for Unemployed Residents of Sakha Republic
OREANDA-NEWS. On 27 May 2008 was announced, that unemployed residents of Sakha Republic (Yakutia) still find work for ESPO construction. There were more that 200 individuals involved in project by lodging an application to the Republican employment service summarizing the results of the first quarter of the current year, reported by YSIA.
There were 670 job offers in different technical specialties for ESPO construction registered in Yakutia’s employment service at the beginning of 2008. From January till March 290 local residents have found work on site. 62 unemployed were sent for professional training.
Employment of jobless Yakutia residents is performed under the Republican population employment dedicated program for 2008 – 2011. Labor markets of Southern and Western Yakutia, problems of job placement for the rural population as well as for the graduates of the technical institutions and young people are of special concern. The Aldan polytechnic school will examine a demand for specialist for ESPO execution.
Top management if “Transneft” have more than once stated about its interest in involvement of Yakutia residents in ESPO project. 1400 specialist are planned to be involved in maintenance of the Eastern pipeline in Lensk and Neryugrinsk regional oil pipeline managements (ROPM). Local human resources will be involved both in cross-cut clearance for the linear part of the pipeline and in construction of temporary accommodation houses for workers in Olekminsk region. Moreover the equipment is supplied on site by means of the local contractors.
