OREANDA-NEWS. On 27 May 2008 was announced, that the enlarged meeting on the matters of the energy system of the South Primorye development and preparation for Summit APEC took place in the Primsky region Administration.

Managing Director of the Business-Unit Energy system of Vostok, RAO UES of Russia – Ivan BLAGODIR, Chairman of the Board of JSC Far Eastern Energy Company Victor MYASNIK as also heads of all leading energy enterprises of the region, engaged in preparation of the energy units, have taken part at the meeting chaired by Vice-Governor of the region Uriy LIKHOIDA.

The energy specialist have reported to the regional administration on the course of work of thw energy units construction, stipulated in the list of the Agreement “On Cooperation of the Primosky Region Administration and JSC RAO UES of Russia” on electric power system development of Primorye and reliable electric power supply of its citizens" as also on implementation the energy system of the region for Summit APEC 2012 hosting.

"There is no sense in splitting these two tasks – the Summit and the problems in the south of Primorye. We have one goal – stability of the energy system. Today in the south of Primorye we have reached the critical maximum of electric power consumption. We simply bring into line all future projects of the industry development with the increase of consumption in view of Summit APEC needs, – said in the course of the meeting Ivan Blagodir.

It will be remembered that the list of measures directed at the energy system development includes introduction of the generation and grid facilities. In particular technical re-equipment of Artem TPP and Vladovostok TPP-1, the complex of measures directed at Vladivostok TPP capacity increase till 500 MW, construction 110 kv. electric power substations “Island Russian” and “Zaliv”, more than 100 kilometers of the electrotransmission, as also the major project- construction of TPP in the city of Ussuriisk. 

Financing of the majority of works will be done on parity basis at the expense of the internal funds of the energy companies and federal funds allocated by the Federal Target Program “Social and economic development of the Far East and Trans-Baikal for the period till 2013 ”. However adjustment of the list of projects, stipulated for 2008-2012 requires making alterations in FTP, and that is the main goal for the energy specialists. In near future the full list of necessary alterations for Ministry of Regional Development of RF consideration will be prepared. In view of the greater number of units planed for construction, the cost of the project will be also increased.

"To present for consideration of the Government the full, feasible list of FTP corrections we have to clearly understand what facilities and in what scale and with what total load are planned for construction in Vladivostok and on the Island Russian. Under entering so important alterations it is very important to have all the data coordinated by all sides. That is why the agreements reached with regional administration, certainly can be considered to be positive result, - said Victor Myasnik.

Presentation of plan of FTP alterations is scheduled for the late May.
