OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2008. In 2008, Gomel is going to put nearly Br500 billion in the largest investment projects, said the head of town.

A considerable part of investments will be utilized at Gomel ten biggest companies. The company Belstekloprom has been executing a project on production of brown-glass bottles. The total capacity of the production will make up 140 million bottles per year. The project will cost Br20 billion. In Q1 2008, the company utilized Br4.5 billion.

In Q1 2008, the Factory Spartak installed a new line to produce sweets Assorti. The new production line will increase the capacity by 40% and reduce the imports of the analogous products. The investment project will total Br20 billion.

Investments will also be put in the further modernization of the projects launched in early 2007. About Br4 billion will go in the technical reequipment of the company Molochnye Produkty in 2008.
