OREANDA-NEWS. May 22, 2008. RUSMED was represented at one of the stands of the international exhibition held in the exhibition centre LENEXPO in St. Petersburg, and dedicated to the social and charitable help and provision of goods and services to the elderly people, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

During the exhibition, RUSMED employees distributed information materials about their company’s activities with regard to protection of rights of insured individuals, including pensioners and disabled people, in the obligatory medical insurance system, and told of the opportunities provided by insurance representatives in medical institutions. The head of the insurants’ rights protection department delivered presentation on the topic "Insurance representatives in the emergency medical care hospitals: practices and prospects".

The exhibition was organized by the RF Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development, Government of St. Petersburg, and SZI RAMN Institute for Bioregulation and Gerontology.

The purpose of this exhibition was to facilitate development of a system for social protection of elderly people, draw public attention to the problems experiences by the elderly people, search for their solutions, and assist in development of the relevant markets for goods and services for this social group.
