OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2008. The head of the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Inspection (Rostekhnadzor) Konstantin Pulikovsky has confirmed the positive findings of the state ecological inspection concerning the licensing of the construction of the 5th unit of the branch of Rosenergoatom Concern, Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (Kurchatov, c region).

The inspection has also approved the application of Kursk NPP for a license in the field of treatment, transportation and storage of radioactive waste.
