OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2008. This high award of the National Academy of public appreciation of honors and achievements of citizens awarded in the area of knowledge expansion and education.

Headed by Y. Petrushenko Kazan Power Engineering University was awarded also with the Honor scroll for input in development of education and as is written in the scroll in the moral educating of the youth aimed at formation of the image of the true patriot and citizen of Russia. The ceremony was held at Moscow, in "President Hotel" and was devoted to the 120anniversary of the birthday of the great educator Anton Semenovich Makarenko.

According to the order by International award academy №34 dd., 23 February 2008, Kazan Power Engineering University is entered upon the All - Russia national register "One Hundred Best Higher Schools of Russia" in the column "Elite of Education in Russia", and its rector was awarded the honor title of the eminent academician, corresponding member of the National Academy of education development support.

At the ceremony Y.Petrushenko was awarded three medals bearing the name of А.S. Мakarenko with full award attributes, with which rector will award the three most talented associates and staff, who made considerable contribution in the foundation and development of KSPEU as well as in the training and educational system of Russia in general.
