OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 May 2008 was announced, that JSC "Concern "Stirol" during January-April 2008 increased production and sales volumes of all main final products. In sphere of industrial products during January-April of this year "Stirol" final products sales totaled 1 730 104 thousands hryvnias (UAH), up by 38,2% comparing to the same period of last year.

In particular, for 4 months 2008 there was rise in the Company’s sales of ammonia by 46,7% (428 mln. 585 thousands. UAH), granulated ammonium nitrate by 35,3% (191 mln. 611 thousands UAH), sodium nitrate by 57,8% (8 mln. 534 thousands UAH), sodium nitrite – by 146,1% (6 mln. 852 thousands UAH), sulfuric acid by 488,5% (26 mln. 102 thousands. UAH), pharmaceutical products by 15,9% (23 mln. 310 thousands UAH), polystyrenes by 24% (129 mln. 166 thousands UAH), packing materials by 4,8% (10 mln. 807 thousands UAH). It was sold urea and urea-ammonium nitrate solutions (UAN) on sum of 465 mln. 760 thousands UAH, up by 79 mln. 469 thousands UAH comparing to 4 first months 2007 (+22,1%).

Also the Company increased its production volumes. In particular, in April it was manufactured 129 569 t of ammonia (+18,1%), 82 175 t of urea (+16,9%), 1767 t of sodium nitrate (+6,9%), 4709 t of polystyrenes (+28,9%), 25 019 t of sulfuric acid (+217,7%), 3673 t of amino resins (+2,0%), 105 889 thousands pieces of pharmaceutical products (+32,2%), 40104 thousands pieces of packing materials (+0,8%), it was processed 1350 t of plastics (+55,2%), and UAN production volume has been increased more than four times (26711 t).

This tendency of production volume increase has been maintained during first four months. In period of January-April 2008 it was produced 501 thousands 213 t of ammonia (+2,7%), 6 thousands 166 t of sodium nitrate (+12,8%), 2 thousands 782 t of sodium nitrite (+25,9%), 79 thousands 964 t of sulfuric acid (+94,5%), 14 thousands 289 t of polystyrenes (+20,7%), 387 mln. 666 thousands pieces of pharmaceutical products (+38,5%), 169 mln. 335 thousands pieces of packing materials (+13,1%), 434 t of paints and varnishes (+71,1%), 5813 t of processed plastics (+60,5%). During this period it has been produced also 343 thousands 264 t of urea and UAN solutions, up by 53 thousands 415 t comparing to the same period of 2007 (+18,4%)

During these first four months Company also generated 52 mln. 831 thousands kWt-hour of its own electric energy (+75,2%).

In January-April 2008 export sales totaled 1 billion 17 mln. 479 thousands UAH, increase by 28,1% than in the same period of the last year.

During period under report tt was also increased labour productivity by 27,9% to 293 639 US dollars per employee.
